OOC

Mun and muse are both 21+

Backtagging: Absolutely. Sometimes I lose steam with threads or muses but generally speaking I'm always happy to pick a thread back up even after a long break, and sometimes I do just let tags sit for a long time because words refuse to happen.

Threadhopping: Ask first, please.

Fourthwalling: I'm fine with people knowing about Arthurian myth, but I'd rather not have him be fourth-walled in regards to the particular hot mess that he is from. Though now that I'm thinking about it, it is kind of funny to imagine someone going on about how weird it is that Mordred isn't his son, and where is Morgan Le Fay, and what the fuck was up with the giant elephants.

Cross-canon: Love it. AUs give me life.

Shipping: I love me some shipping, but unless you're playing Guinevere I'd like some buildup before we assume that our characters are totally into each other. Especially if we've never threaded before.

Smutting: Much as I do have a NSFW open post just in case, as a general rule I'm not really interested in writing smut threads, particularly if we haven't done much threading before. If it makes sense narratively for things to be going in that kind of direction it's fine but please don't come at me with smut out of nowhere.

IC

Hugging or kissing this character: If it makes sense within the scenario, sure.

Flirting with this character: Sure, he'll probably flirt back but it's not likely that he actually wants things to go anywhere.

Fighting with this character: Absolutely, might want to talk things out OOC first though so we're on the same page about who wins and such.

Injuring this character: If it's anything major let's talk first, but cuts and bruises and broken bones and the like is all fine.

Killing this character: This is Arthur Pendragon so dying is kind of in his job description

Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Totally fine

Arthur understood the point of going hunting with the nobles. He really did, and it had nothing to do with actually putting food on the table. It was all about showing off who had the best outfit, trying to discuss some politics and strike deals whilst pretending that was not at all what you were doing, and checking out who was currently on the market for a spouse.

Yes, he got it. Didn't make it any less boring. Didn't make it seem less offensive to a man who had grown up in poverty and fought for every scrap of anything he could call his own.

And then there was the matter of his lady wife, who he saw much less of than expected but who was supremely distracting whenever she did come near. It felt ridiculous that he didn't know her better, and equal parts annoying and amusing that she seemed pretty intent on keeping things on a very "polite acquaintances" level.

Did it make him a prick that he sort of enjoyed the challenge in that? Oh, for sure. The trick was making her see that he wasn't just a prick.

They'd get there, eventually.

His eyes rested on the distant figure of his queen for most of the day as various voices droned on in his ears and he completely ignored the fact that he was supposed to be pretending to be looking for a boar or something.

Then, it started raining, and he gave up on pretending that he wanted to be there at all.

He dismounted from his horse and threw the reins at the nearest person. Might have been a squire, might have been an important noble. He didn't know.

"Be a pal and hold that for me."

It didn't take terribly long for him to reach Guinevere's mount and get on up behind her, wrapping his arms around her to claim the reins.

"Hello, darling."

[ It feels hilariously old-fashioned to be smuggling booze of all things, though Art doesn't really count this as plying his usual trade. That would take subtlety and involves some actual danger, this is just a bit of fun and doing a favor for his good friend Davos.

The retreat is charmingly located on a somewhat isolated island, where what you have is what you brought with you. Apparently alcohol had been banned from the packing list, but that's what you have rogues like him for.

It's a warm and sunny day, making it an easy choice to forego the wearing of a shirt. He is here to mess with people after all.

Gliding toward a small pier meant for swimmers to get access to deep water more than anything else, he grins at Melisandre, who had probably been seeking some peace and quiet or something.
]

Lovely to see you darling, would you mind catching my line?

[ He holds up the rope he intends to use for securing his boat to the pier. ]
